Introduction to new L&A Auditor based in Bali Indonesia – Ms Margit Arnold

L&A are delighted to announce a new member of the team based in Bali Indonesia, Ms Margit Arnold.

Margit’s role as Auditor will be to assist L&A Associate Agnes Zlotek Petit in her duties under the Corporate Housekeeping banner for Swiss Belhotel International in Indonesia.

Margit was born in Germany and is a graduate of Speiser’s Hotel School in Tegernsee, Germany. She began her career in the hospitality industry in 1977 at Holiday Inn Eibsee near Garmisch-Partenkirchen. In 1978 she moved to Munich Hilton, which was to be the start of a 14-year career with Hilton International.

In 1990, after almost 10 years at Dubai Hilton as Reservation and Front Office Manager, Margit moved to Bali for the opening of the Bali Hilton (now Ayodya Resort Bali) in the capacity of Rooms Division Manager. For several years she was also Divisional Front Office Coordinator for Hilton International for the Gulf and Pakistan, and later on for South East Asia.

From 1992 till 2011 Margit held the position of General Manger in various hotels in Indonesia, including Hotel Bromo Tosari, Lombok Intan Laguna, The Bali Aga, Mimpi Resorts Bali, Club Bali Mirage and Hotel Sanur Beach Bali.

In March 2000, she established PT Srikandi Hospitality Consulting, concentrating on hotel management and sales & marketing consulting for smaller properties and villas. At the same time she developed an online reservations called Bali Hotels and Villas.  Currently she also operates a restaurant with her husband in Sanur, Bali called Warung Kayuapi

Margit brings to L&A her ability to communicate fluently in Indonesian and an extensive knowledge and experience in understanding and managing the local culture and workforce.
