Trolleys, trolleys, trolleys

It was interesting to see a selection of Housekeeping trolleys at the No Vacancy Hotel show in Sydney recently. Not much new here though there are newer smaller versions which require the Room Attendant to return to the service area to drop the soiled linen and pick up the clean linen for every room they are servicing. This looks later in the corridor as they can bring their trolley inside the room but doesn’t help in terms of productivity and time-saving.

Larger trolleys have also been designed to look like pieces of furniture to remain in the guest corridor, these are set up to be in easy reach for the Room Attendants as they service their rooms. Again not great productivity gains but it looks nicer overall.
