UKHA Launches Housekeeping Scholarship with Lycette & Associates Consulting

The UK Housekeepers Association (UKHA) has become the largest Housekeepers Association in Europe, serving as a prominent platform for sharing knowledge and fostering career development. We are dedicated to supporting the professional status housekeeping professionals and have partnered with Lycette Associates to deliver a free Housekeeping Scholarship in March 2026

Our UKHA Members are invited to apply for one of 14 FREE residential places on the new Leadership for Housekeeping Managers course, designed specifically for Housekeeping professionals at The Grand York on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th March 2026. Successful applicants will be selected by an industry panel during the 1st week in January 2026. 

This opportunity is perfect for Housekeeping professionals who are committed to delivering excellence and driving team performance, looking to advance their management capabilities and stay up to date with industry standards and technology.

Our Trainer - Liz Lycette founder of Lycette Associates

Liz Lycette's extensive international expertise and considerable Housekeeping knowledge, has given her a truly multi-cultural approach and a wide range of diverse contacts throughout the industry. Her excellent organisational skills, adaptability and integrity enable her to complete any assignment with energy, efficiency and positive results.

She started her career in the hospitality industry in 1981 and at the age of 23 became Executive Housekeeper for the grand opening of Mandarin Oriental in Macau. She subsequently held this position at The Conrad Hong Kong, Mandarin Oriental Jakarta, Le Meridien Hotel, London, and The Regent Hotel, Sydney. Liz was also Project Manager for the opening of 3 properties in China for Harbour Plaza Hotels and Resorts. Visit the L&A website

The Course Overview

Liz Lycette from L&A will be presenting a unique programme for those working in a senior or aspiring roles within Housekeeping, enabling Housekeeping Managers to lead their team with confidence. Not only suitable for Housekeeping Managers & their Deputies, this workshop also empowers up and coming Supervisors to gain skills which will improve business outcomes, advance the performance of teams and enhance customer experiences.

The 3 day workshop, which runs from 10.30am-5.30pm on the Monday and 9am-5.30pm on Tuesday & Wednesday. It will be lively and interactive, encouraging participation through interactive exercises, networking and shared experiences. Upon completion of the workshop participants will have a full action plan and timeline to implement back in their operation.

Applicants simply complete the application form on our website and send with any supporting material to national@ukha.co.uk by FRIDAY 2nd JANUARY 2026. All applications will be reviewed by our panel of industry experts and the final 14 will be selected and informed by Friday 16th January.
