Terms and Conditions for Participation in L&A Training Courses
1. ENROLMENT
Enrolments for training courses will be considered in the order they are received. As a rule, enrolments can be made via the registration form on the L&A website. To ensure the quality of the training courses, the number of participants is generally limited to 20 participants.
2. CONFIRMATION
Upon confirmation within 48 hours by L&A via e-mail, each enrolment shall become binding. An invoice will be sent out which is payable immediately. A place on the course will only be held once payment is received.
3. CANCELLATION
(1) If participation in a training course is cancelled up to 14 days before commencement of the training course, no further obligations shall arise from the enrolment; notably, no fees shall be charged. In respect of later cancellations up to one day before commencement of the training course, 50% of the training fees shall be charged. In the event of non-appearance or cancellation at the day of the training course, the entire training fee shall be due. This shall also apply if the Participant attends a later session of the same training course. Training fee in terms of this provision means the entire amount paid.
(2) The Participant is entitled to name a substitute participant in writing before the start of the course. No additional costs shall be charged in this respect.
(3) Cancellations must be made in writing.
4. TRAINING DATES
The times and dates indicated in the confirmation of participation shall be binding.
5. TRAINING FEES
The training fee shall be paid immediately upon receipt of the invoice. If a Participant is enrolled shortly before the training course, i.e., less than seven days before commencement of the training course the training fee shall immediately be due. If payment is not made until commencement of the training course at the latest, LA& reserves the right not to admit the Participant to the training course. Any further-reaching claims of L&A shall not be affected thereby.
6. RESERVATION OF RIGHT OF CANCELLATION
(1) L&A is entitled to cancel each training course until 7 working days before commencement of the training course at the latest if the minimum number of 15 Participants is not reached. If, within 5 working days before commencement of the training, any other conditions essential for the carrying out the training course change due to force majeure (notably illness or accident of the respective trainer/lecturer) or as a result of any other circumstances for which LA& is not responsible, L&A is entitled to cancel the session unless L&A is able, with reasonable effort, to provide a substitute trainer/lecturer – to the extent the absence of the trainer/lecturer is concerned.
(2) L&A shall suggest a substitute date to all participants. If L&A is not able to offer a suitable substitute date, the participants may rescind the agreement. Training fees already paid shall be reimbursed.
7. RIGHTS TO TRAINING DOCUMENTS
L&A reserves all rights in and to the training documents. Without L&A’s prior written consent, they may not be reproduced, processed using electronic systems, copied, distributed, translated, used for public reproduction and passed on to third parties in any manner, neither entirely nor in excerpt form; this shall also apply for the purposes of structuring own training courses by the participants in the future.
